NOBODY IS IRREPLACEABLE.

Why is everybody getting in such a state about the so called top players going when we dont know if they are yet. True a lot of dealings in the transfer window come towards the end. Larson and Gardener have gone and it looks likely that Dann may follow but apart from that there hasnt been crowds knocking at the door yet.
All our players wee outstanding at Wembley but after that couldnt string a couple of wins together to keep us up.

Chris Hughton has the ability to find good players at lower prices and whatevere the squad is at the start of the new season he will get the best out of them and restore confidence. Mcdonut played for draws when we could hvae won was too negative about the results accepting poor performance too readily. Time will tell C.H. is not like that and remember he will be on a mission to prove Mike Ashley was wrong to sack him at Newcastle.

My money is for us to go up via the play offs with an outside chance of automatic.

I know someone has posted something similar, but It needs posting again.

Dictionary definition:

Quote:

fire sale

— n
1.  a sale of goods at reduced prices after a fire at a shop or factory
2.  any instance of offering goods or assets at greatly reduced prices to ensure a quick sale

i.e. Portsmouth were having fire sales last year, we are not.

It could become a fire sale mid august if we need to sell and havent been able to

That is when the clever vultures will come in to pick the carcass

That is what i fear will happen

Teams know we HAVE to sell

All well and good playing hard ball now - but we need to be smart

I just wish we could sort it now, so we haven't got players who don't want to play for us and so CH knows what/who he is dealing with. My fear as above posts is that this will drag on until August, probably even the last day of the window.

I have to admit personally the only players who are up for sale who I would be sorry to see go are Foster, Dann and Ridgewell, the rest I couldn't care less about

every player has a price if clubs pay other odds every player will be sold, gardner brought for 3mill sold for 6mill. foster 6mill we want 10mill, dann 3.5mill we want 10mill etc and the reason we only sold muamba last time we got relegated was he was only a of a couple of decent players at are club, thats why relegation this season is so shocking and mcjudas gone is a blessing.

Zigic on 50 grand a week is no brainer, but losing most or all of your top 6 players with how low on numbers we are already is just a recipe for disaster.

You're talking as if we won't replace them. Chill!

To go up we will have to replace them with good players, not average ones.

Sorry, when was Scott Dann sold? Thats news to me...

Listen we all know he will be sold but he hasn't gone yet. After relegation we was always going to lose most If not all of our top players, that was a given. We was also going to have little to no money to replace them with.

Steven Caldwell Is a decent signing for the Championship, promoted twice In recent years and a solid player.

I agree with Stinger..
Im just not buying this "Freebies can be good" rubbish.

Gomis is not going to be in the same league as Ferguson or Gardner... no way !
Caldwell is going to be light years behind Dann or Johnson.
Burke is not as good as Larsson, no chance.
Rooney, i`m not holding my breath, such a massive jump up to championship level.

All of our signings so far appear to be nothing more than very average championship players at best.

Our current crop of players that are sure to leave us are going to be reaching potentially 6,7,8,9,10 million pounds for a reason.... because they are excellent well established premiership players and they cannot be replaced for peanuts !... End of story !

Im sorry, but some people are totally deluded if they think these signings are anywhere near good enough to get us out of this league !

11 aparently.

He wasn't considered a first team regualr there anyway though. And just because he looks likely to be coming here It don't mean he's going to be a first team regular here either.

easy to make the mistake of comparing individual ability...

The TEAM is the end product and the most important thing, and that is the managers job.To build a TEAM which can be achieved with a blend of players with mixed abilities..

Chris Hughton is backing himself to achieve promotion, give him your FULL support he has a bloody massive job to do after all.
